Metal manufacturing optimization services
Independent metal manufacturing optimization services: we review your parts, technology, material and process to lower cost, cut scrap and shorten lead time. We sell no machines and no material, so every recommendation works only for your bottom line.
Send your drawing for a reviewWhere we cut cost in metal production
For design engineers, process engineers, production owners and technical buyers. Pick the area closest to your problem, or send a drawing and we will point you to the biggest saving.
Part cost reduction
Find savings in design, material and process, not the machine.
Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
Catch costly and unmakeable features before production starts.
Laser cutting & nesting
Use every sheet, cut scrap through smarter nesting.
Sheet metal bending
Fewer cracks, rejects and rework, right from the design.
CNC machining optimization
Lower machine time and cost per part, function intact.
Material selection & MOQ
The right grade, thickness and batch size for cost.
How we work
Every engagement follows the same path, whatever the service. We start with your drawing and its current cost or problem. We break the part down into its cost and manufacturability drivers: geometry, tolerances, material, process and batch size. We compare what you have against what the part could be, using benchmarks from other plants and years on the shop floor. Then you get a clear, prioritised set of changes with the expected impact on each, and a short call to walk through it. You decide what to implement. We do not machine, cut or sell material, so the recommendation is aligned with your cost, quality and lead time, and nothing else.
- Review: we read your STEP, DXF or PDF and the current cost or problem
- Analysis: we find the drivers that make the part slow, heavy or expensive
- Recommendation: a prioritised list of changes with the expected saving on each
- Handover: a short technical call, then you implement with your own shop
Who this is for
These services fit design engineers, process engineers, production managers and technical buyers who already make metal parts and want them to cost less without losing function. Whether the part is laser cut, bent, machined or a mix, the question is the same: is this the cheapest sensible way to make it? If you have a part that has never had an independent cost or manufacturability review, that is usually where the biggest saving sits. Pick the service closest to your problem, or send the drawing and we will point you to the right one.
Why an independent review pays off
Most parts are quoted, not questioned. A supplier prices what you drew, because changing the design is not their job and often not in their interest. An independent review asks the question they will not: could this part be made for less and still do exactly what it needs to do? Because IRONsrv sells no machines and no material, there is no catalogue to push and no process to protect. The only goal is a lower, more predictable cost per part. On a part that has run for years without a review, that gap is often the difference between winning and losing the next order.
You do not need a finished specification to start. A single part with its drawing and current price is enough for the first read. From there we can go as deep as you want, from one detail to a full family of parts. The sooner a part is reviewed, the more of its cost is still open to change, which is why the first drawing is always the best place to begin.
